More images to follow as the refurbishment progresses.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Seda provides pharmaceutical development and clinical pharmacology services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/services\/consultancy-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CMC and Clinical Pharmacology Consultancy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/expertise\/pharmacokinetic-modelling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PK and PBPK Modelling<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Translational PK-PD modelling<\/li>\n<li>Dose selection and dose justification<\/li>\n<li>Population PK and Noncompartmental Analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/services\/laboratory-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laboratory Services<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Enabled Preclinical Formulations<\/li>\n<li>Early and Late Phase Clinical Formulations and Processes<\/li>\n<li>Biorelevant and\u00a0 clinically relevant dissolution (CRDS) testing<\/li>\n<li>Standard and Complex parenteral products (e.g. delivery of new modalities such as mRNA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With rapidly increasing demand for its services, it has outgrown its current rental facility in Macclesfield.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santander.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Santander UK<\/a>, which Seda has banked with since its inception in 2015, has provided it with a funding package of \u00a32m which includes support for the acquisition of its new property in Cheadle, Stockport.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"NormalTextRun BCX8 SCXW256203392\">Seda will undertake a full refit of the new property, with total investment nearing \u00a34m, developing<\/span> state-of-the-art laboratories and bespoke office space. This will enable it to invest in new equipment so it can expand the range of services it offers clients. Among the new facilities and equipment in plan are processing suites for oral solid dosage forms (tablets and capsules) and enhanced facilities for parenteral products (injections). A particular area of focus is building capabilities in nano formulation prototyping and characterisation for the design and development of complex medicines such as lipid nanoparticles for mRNA delivery (as used in some Covid vaccines). These additions are crucial for Seda to fulfil rapidly growing demand from clients worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Seda, which recently won <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/news\/seda-named-best-cro-at-obn-awards-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Best Contract Research Organisation (CRO)<\/a> in the 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/obn.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OBN<\/a> Awards, currently has a permanent staff of 23 and a network of expert associate subcontractors. It is working toward growing its permanent staff to at least 50 by April 2024, initially by recruiting analysts, formulators, modellers, project managers, and later, non-technical support staff.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-131 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Team-photos-Paul-S-e1639665376493-127x150.jpg\" alt=\"Seda CEO\" width=\"127\" height=\"150\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/paul-w-stott-91956916\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Stott<\/a>, CEO of Seda said: <\/strong><em>&#8220;The purchase of our own facility allows us to make long term capital investments in the capabilities that our clients need \u2013 something that was not economically viable with our current rental property.
