Join us in welcoming\u00a0Paul Gellert,\u00a0Seda\u2019s\u00a0newest\u00a0consultant,\u00a0who has\u00a0recently\u00a0come on board\u00a0to\u00a0expand our complex\u00a0medicine\u00a0capabilities.\u00a0<\/span>Paul Gellert<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0world-renowned\u00a0expert in his field, with over 33 years’ experience in drug discovery and development,\u00a0specialising\u00a0in novel formulation, drug delivery and product design.\u00a0He has led many projects and teams in identifying, evaluating and designing novel<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0viable drug delivery-based products and new drug delivery technologies across a broad range of routes of administration and drug modalities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From 2017 to 2021, Paul was the\u00a0AstraZeneca\u00a0Science & Innovation Director for Drug Delivery and Product Design\u00a0and\u00a0he also\u00a0led AstraZeneca\u2019s Global Novel Drug Delivery Network for many years. Paul is widely\u00a0recognised\u00a0as an expert on drug delivery technologies and the external drug delivery environment, including patent and intellectual property aspects.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul has collaborated extensively with academic groups and drug delivery companies and is the co-author and co-inventor of\u00a0numerous\u00a0publications and patent applications. He has been a member of a range of external groups including Editorial\u00a0Advisory\u00a0Board member for the Nanomedicine journal, Scientific Advisory Board member and\u00a0<\/span>Programme<\/span>\u00a0Chair for the Controlled Release Society Conference, Scientific Consultant to the\u00a0Wellcome\u00a0Trust and EPSRC\u00a0programme\u00a0External Advisory Board member.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Along\u00a0with\u00a0the rest\u00a0of\u00a0our\u00a0team of consultants, Paul will\u00a0provide\u00a0consultancy support to our clients where necessary, offering his\u00a0expertise and knowledge surrounding complex medicines.\u00a0Paul\u2019s expertise will\u00a0also\u00a0contribute to our plans to\u00a0further\u00a0grow our complex medicine capabilities in the coming months.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
